Covered Patio Floor Gets Wet
This started only a few weeks ago and the spot dries up within a day.
Covered patio floor gets wet. There is a well ventilated open space beneath the. When tiles are not installed properly increased water levels from summer rains can seep upward to the tiles surface. When the air vapor cools down and matches the floor temperature condensation forms on the concrete this is also known as concrete sweating. My porch is soaking wet almost like it rained on the porch with no covering at all.
When smooth slabs of concrete are wet it poses additional safety concerns for workers. Safety is a top concern for all businesses. The wall feels dry. Water it not dripping down from above.
It just sweats to the point where it s this is a covered concrete porch. It does this whether there is any wind or not so it has to be something in the concrete causing it. The back porch is where my washer and dryer reside and it also gets wet but doesn t get quite as much sun and takes forever to dry. Stone brick concrete and ceramic patio tiles sometimes have a common problem during the hot humid months of summer.
I am trying to figure out the source of a wet spot that forms on my covered front porch right next to the outside wall of my home pretty much every time it is raining. The condition may occur because of the tiles porous structure. And it s like the outside of a glass of cold water. I have not found a solution either.
